Zlob DNS Changer.rtk

Hi i'm having a problem with Zlob DNS Changer.rtk.Spybot finds it and destroys it but after a while it appears again and again...I couldn't run the Kaspersky Online Scanner because IE stucks,but I did a hijack this log

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to yourDesktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

Thanks for retuning your information.

We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)


How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart, post a new HJT log and let me know how the computer runs now.

Everything is ok,i forgot that windows showed me a message for dnsbak.reg in order to have internet.And now i have.I think that the problem is solved now.Should I make a scan with spybot?Or no?Thanks for your help

OK Bill, I was about to send this information, so I will send it and you can retain in in case you ever need it in the future;

Try these in the posted order:

1) Network Connections Repair:
Go to Control Panel > Network Connections.
Right-click on the network icons and select Repair.
Alternately, if the network icon appears in the notification area in the lower right corner of your desktop, right-click it, and then click Repair from the shortcut menu.

3) Network Diagnostics for Windows XP is available to help identify and fix network connection problems

4) Your ISP may have to reset for you, you have been hacked by Ukrainians who changed your settings.

Your HJT log looks fine, good job following those complex instructions:bigthumb: You should be able to do a Kaspersky Online Scan now, it is a very good tool for finding hidden junk...use these setting. Remove Fixwareout from your computer before you scan.

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here. (no need to post a clean scan)

Bill, that is a clean scan, but it take me one hour to run that scan on my Dell with Windows XPPro. I can not understand why it took you that long other than then fact you do seem to have a high number of files on your computer?
Total number of scanned objects 348780
