Yummy.
I keep meaning to have Spaghetti one of these days, it's been a while.
I ordered Lasagna from a pizza place a few weeks ago, but it tasted almost like they'd used a jar of salsa for the sauce. That's the one and only time I had lasagna and it wasn't good.
Garfield...
Noted for his love of lasagna and sleeping
Yup, and he's one of my favorite cartoon characters. :)
Catnap...
That's always a beautiful sound. :)
Pleasant...

My mom has a cat with black fur, I have a tendency to wear black t-shirts, you'd think the cat hair would blend in but for some reason after I hold the cat you can always see the cat hair. Might be because the cat has a brownish tinge to her fur. Very nice cat, sometimes when I visit she's so happy to see me she gets teary eyed.
Thats love!
Ever seen one of those hairless cats?
Yes, I think they look like some sort of alien cat.
Funny story, my mother said she was watching a cat show on TV once, and there was a hairless cat in it. She was practically in tears because she thought that it had some sort of condition and thought it was so nice that they still let it compete. She didn't find out about hairless cats until sometime later.
Sphinx...
All of it makes me think of Eygpt
bet I don't spell this right
Tutankhamun
I lied, I googled it
I'd have to look up spelling for that, too. I often wonder how some egyption names sounded in egyption. It'd be funny if it just sounded like Fred or something.
Pharaoh...
Wouldn't you love to be a Princess
Yes, though I wouldn't like having to marry someone I might not like. Hopefully they've done away with the prince-princess arranged marriage thing. I always thought Diana and Charles had fallen in love, but heard later on that was a somewhat arranged marriage, too.
Princess Stephanie...
Diana had fallen in love but a 3 person marriage wont work.
Princess Grace
Yes, I feel bad that her life was so difficult. I wish she was still around.
...Kelly.
We don't have royalty here or princesses but
We have many who go around feeling entitled
I wasn't sure if we still had monarchy and had to look it up. Apparently, though we're a democracy, our monarch is still Queen Elizabeth:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchy_of_Canada
Which is alright, Queen Elizabeth is pretty cool. :)

wonder if that's the same as milk chocolate
I'm not sure, I think most swiss chocolate is milk chocolate.
Milk chocolate makes me think of Chocolate Easter Bunnies. :)
Bunnies make me think of carrots
And carrots make me think of Bugs Bunny.
All my life people think we from the south talk funny.
Can't help it, I'm a hillbilly
I like southern accents, as much as I've heard them. They sound lovely. :)

I want one that does dishes
Me, too! I have one that is into cooking, but sadly washing dishes is just not his thing.
I've had help unloading the dishwasher but, found stuff crowded everywhere.
Yeah, sometimes you feel like you have to draw a map to where things go, but then they might be insulted by that. My dishwasher is so old, I think I should soon start celebrating it's birthday!
Insulted or not, havent they lived there as long as you have?, I mean, when you want a glass for a drink, it's located where?
Replace dishwasher or (since we're online, you fill in the blank)
lol, yeah, exactly.
Oh, I won't replace the dishwasher until it leaks or something. We're all like that in my family. I still remember my Great Grandmother using an old wringer washer, because it had never broken down or anything. I think that thing may have outlived her. :)
Loretta Lynn sang a song about her mother washing clothes on an old washboard
I like Loretta Lynn, I read her autobiography a couple of times years ago. I wonder what I did with that book? Probably gave it away or lost it when moving.
That washboard would probably be an antique by now.
I'm sure it would be but
Can you imagine scrubbing clothes for 5 kids
dang, you'd have no fingers left.
I can't even imagine, no amount of hand cream would help that.
Children...
thank goodness we have machines now to take on that burden.
Yup. While it's really a car, one machine I wouldn't mind having someday is a Tesla. I live in a small town, but every so often we'll see one or two. I had no interest in them until I saw one parking at the grocery store. I know darn well I just like them because they're expensive, but hey...you can't help wanting stuff like that sometimes. :)
I think I'm guilty of wanting things I can't have.....but it's life
let's just think of sunny vacations
Sweepstakes...
I'm having a snow storm vacation today....including a snow shovel workout, and the ever popular storm chips menu, along with occasional flickering lights for ambience.:laugh:
LOL
You can keep that vacation.....I'd prefer sunny beaches and swaying palm trees
lucky winners
You don't know what you're missin', last night the power went out for several hours. Enforced relaxation, who can beat that?
Daily Grand...
I could see relaxation come if I were alone.........
public winners
The wind howling like several banshees made having someone here more relaxing than not. I used to be used to the hubby working night shift, but that may have been too spooky a storm even for me.
Groucho Glasses...
I always wondered about announcing lottery winners publicly. I understand lottery companies do it for publicity, but it doesn't seem very safe.
I think there are some people who would look better with Groucho glasses on!
Winning a large amount of money can be bad as well as good.
I'd try to keep my name out of the news, be prepared to pay taxes up front and quickly and....
If family asked if it were me that had won some money, wasn't me, never bought a ticket in my life!
hehe!
I'd do the same. I read an article before where a woman said the phone calls from people were unreal, and she only won a million dollars. I am acquaintances with a woman who won a smaller amount, around 250,000 I think, and there were a couple jokes about it to her, but now people just treat her the same as always, as far as I'm aware.
Winner...
Relief
A good nights sleep
Sleep Tips...
I've been looking up things online like "Unique Sleep Tips" and "Unconventional ways to fall asleep" in an effort to find some different ways to fall asleep, and everything I click on takes me to lists like "Unconventional sleep tips you've never tried before" etc., and then they proceed to tell me the same sleep tips I've read a thousand times. I guess there are only so many sleep tips, but I've read to keep your phone in the other room and get a white noise machine about a gazillion times before.
I have a white noise air filtering machine but, it's not loud enough to drown out snoring
I'd sometimes need a white noise machine loud enough to drown out a sonic boom, I figure.
Scissors -> beat paper :)
Cord...
I always hear people saying they bought a cord of wood or two cords of wood, and I never realized until now I didn't know how much that is.
rick of wood
is actually smaller then a cord
That's the first time I heard of a rick of wood. Glad to learn something new. :)
Sawdust bricks...
Wood pellets
I think, and probably wrong here that some people who live with cattle, use dried cow patties?
Pellet Stove...
Google says dried cow patties as fire fuel is a thing. I dunno how that might smell, maybe drying it makes it unstinky? They'll use cow patties for anything, I guess, including cow patty bingo.
throw one like a Frisbee
really wouldn't try to catch one tho.
No, that might be pretty messy(not to mention smelly!)
Catch...
Wouldn't it be fun to play
Dodge ball
Using cow patties for dodgeball would probably ensure everybody got really, really good at dodging.:laugh:
hehe!
Hey, maybe this is a good idea....cow patty dodgeball. Wonder if it would make it to the Olympics?
Oh my gosh!
For that event, I WOULD not want to be the gold medalist
Me, either, lol.
Champion...
challenge...
Hey, I just realized I forgot to look and see what April Fools pranks were pulled today. I forgot all about it. (I'm hoping the one where my province is supposed to have a snow storm Monday was a prank.)
If anything here went on I don't know about but then, I really don't like pranks either.
Where I live, spring storms, bring tornadoes
I like when Google does the April Fools pranks, and stuff like that online, but as for someone pulling pranks in real life, I'm not a fan of that either. Probably because I'm pretty gullible and would probably fall for it, haha.
We don't generally get tornadoes here, which I'm glad of. Our snow storm wasn't as bad as it was supposed to be, thankfully. :)
Twister...
We don't get snow often at all. then folks down here can't drive in it and we have major issues.
I fell for a prank
slide a penny under a water bottle and he said a magic word and told me to look into the bottle and now the penny will be inside of it
Bend over and look in, he squeezes the bottle and it soaks me...
I told him
Say some magic words and let's see if supper appears.
haha! Hopefully he pulled the prank on April Fools Day, at least.
regret...
Full of regrets (great music vid!)
going hungry can be used as a temporary punishment.
tummy rumbles...
I think in my case if I cooked supper it would be considered temporary punishment.:laugh:
"You pull that prank on me again, I'll cook a meatloaf, Mr. Zenobia!"
"No, no! Anything but that."
Well, I can make a good cheese sandwich, pancakes, and the occasional omelette. Anything else I attempt to cook is pretty inedible, though.
LOL
around here it's a pot of beans and cornbread
A while back, after years and years of buying cans of beans in molasses, I saw a can of beans and grabbed them in a bit of a rush, and got them home and discovered they were beans in maple syrup.
Now being Canadian I might be required by law to find anything in maple syrup tasty, but not only had I never noticed such a thing before, but when I tried the beans they just tasted....weird. Not yucky, like it is when I've accidentally picked up beans in tomato sauce...and while some people might like that, I always think it tastes
You'd think beans in maple syrup would be a normal thing up here, but if it was I failed to notice it before. Then again, I've lived my whole life in Canada and just recently became aware that we have Canadian bacon, which appears to be some kind of ham, and not bacon at all.
I also used to think kfc popcorn chicken was popcorn with chicken flavouring, versus chicken that looked somewhat like popcorn, so maybe I just haven't been paying attention enough.
pancakes
Yeah, I kinda knew about the Canadian bacon thing.......
But, I bet you would like the country style baked beans we do down here, there sweetened with brown sugar and topped with bacon to cook in the oven.
Crêpes...
Yes, I probably would like country style baked beans, they sound delish. :)
They are good
crêpes full of whipped cream
I remember some relatives always having those in a jar in the fridge. Sometimes they were red, and sometimes they had green ones. :)
I think they are all good.
Now, let's add some chopped pecans
lol, this will be a change
pole dancer
Bendy...
I didn't know there were male pole dance competitions until I looked. Nice to see. :)
I didn't know, I didn't look either but would not had thought men were interested.
You got to be kidding me.
Riverdale...
It's been a long time since I watched that show. I used to watch it faithfully. :)
ahhh, the memories of high school
If anybody remembers me from high school, it's probably that I was always late for class.
I was always the quiet one
Me, too. I skipped school once, and my best friend got into trouble but I didn't because they didn't realize I wasn't there, lol!:laugh:
Shy...
that describes a lot of people.
odd ball
Yes, it does. I don't know too many people you'd really class as typically normal. Including myself, haha.

I was just visiting and realized this forum was empty. Every tavern needs a word link. Its a simple game where you say a word related to the last word. An example would be snake -> viper -> car -> thunderbird -> firefox. They are fun and quick. If you get a chance just post a word. I will start it with BALOON. Enjoy.
My answer would be first to correct the spelling I think of BALLOON > Helium
My answer would be first to correct the spelling I think of BALLOON > Helium

lifting gas
Gargle...
I had a sore throat when I was a kid and remembered hearing someone say gargling with peroxide was good for sore throats. This was before the internet was widely available, so no FAQ checking really available, so I didn't dilute it. I can definitely say, I do not recommend! lol.
LOL
Wonder if that would be good for tonsillitis?
I know some of it in small amounts is used in toothpaste
It probably is, either that or salt and water.
Whitening toothpaste...
They sure are.
Grandparents Day...
Magical...
I looked those up. You know a pair of the ruby slippers were stolen? It took 13 years to recover them, I guess. Interesting read. :)
I think I do recall that, of all things to steal knowing you can't display it........what were they thinking
Wizard
Sorcerer...
I know, I was thinking the same thing. I hunted around and I don't think they ever did publish who had them. :)
digging up bones
Isn't there a song to this?
I looked and it said Randy Travis.
I was a bit baffled to see that Al Gore was one of the song writers. It doesn't quite seem like his style. :/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diggin%27_Up_Bones
I'll see if there is another Al Gore...
(Apparently there is...https://www.discogs.com/artist/733803-Al-Gore)
yikes, Al Gore
energy independent
Sunscreen...
I don't think I even knew there was sunscreen when I was a kid. Some people just wore tanning lotion, but even that was kind of rare.
I don't remember the name of the stuff but it was this thick white cream you placed on your nose?
I believe it was zinc oxide.
I looked it up, can also be used for diaper rash
I always kind of feel bad for babies. They can't just tell you something like "Hey, this diaper creme isn't working" or "This blanket is too scratchy!", all they can do is cry and hope the parent finds what is wrong.
I was playing with my little nephew while he laid on his back, moving his little legs like riding a bicycle, well, it triggered an internal response.
Sounded as loud as an adult!, I think he might have even jumped when it happened.
Startled...
That probably surprised him as much as it did you, lol!
I think one of the worse times I was startled, was when lightning struck close by.
Thunder...
That would be startling. I never used to mind lightning, but now I don't like it at all.
Wonder how you would react to a Tornado, we get them seasonally
Funnel Clouds...
Tornado's are sort of partly why I started being scared of lightning, I think. I was in Ontario years and years ago, and they had a thunder storm that made the thunderstorms around here seem like a cakewalk. Then we headed home through New York state during a rainstorm so bad it was hard to see through the windshield, and there was a tornado watch. Then we started seeing circular clouds in the sky. At the time, it just seemed like a crazy adventure, but when I got home for some reason when there was lightning I feel a range of uneasy to downright scared. Phobias/fears are weird, lol.
straight line winds
Our home has never been directly hit, but, we have gotten up in the morning after a rough night to see tons of debris in our yard and on the roof.
A ride around a few miles away, we saw the damage and where all that pink insulation had come from.
Scary and real.
Damage...
I imagine it is scary! We had a tornado in my province last year, apparently, but I guess we hadn't had a confirmed one for something like 22 years before that. I hope it stays that way.
It makes you wonder how our ancestors coped with tornadoes. Surely they must have thought it was the wrath of whatever goddesses or gods they worshiped, how would they ever understand what was really happening?
Horrific
I'd like to be like Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ
Let me fall on a witch!
Awful...
Hopefully, you'd get a pair of magic slippers out of the deal, hehe.
wonder if they'd be Ruby red
Either that or silver, if you go by the wizard of oz book. :)
LOL
Some days I feel like the wicked witch tho, let's say most?
No, you strike me as more of the Glinda type. :)
Depends on who you ask!
Munchkins!
I'm never wicked witch-like as long as I've had enough tea, but not too much tea, I've had enough sleep, I haven't had too much sleep, I'm not hangry. I'm not too hot, I'm not too cold, I'm not too full, and my husband doesn't annoy me. lol!
Munchkinland...
I got a few things I could add to that list, but, not writing a book here
Emerald city
Horse of a different color
