Smitfraud-C

Spybot has determined that I have Smitfraud-C on my computer. I have downloaded but not yet run HJT. Would my first step be Spybot logs, and if so can you provide me with a link in how to obtain them?
These are not false positives, by the way. Spybot (and other items) were able to get the entries for Smitfraud-C to 3. The computer appeared better than it was. I left it on just to see what it did and it opened 20+ Internet Explorer pages to various sites. Appearences were deceiving I guess.
