Okay I have been having really bad problems with pop-ups that last few weeks. And stared trying to fix them. I have run, Adaware, Blacklight, trend micro online scan, aproposfix, and HighjackThis.

Trend micro online scan gave me this:

ADW_SE.78964 ADW_SE.78965 ADW_SE.78967
[6:50:49 PM] ajknmpr says: DOWN_SE.70336
[6:50:57 PM] ajknmpr says: ADW_SE.76024
[6:51:04 PM] ajknmpr says: ADW_SE.55205

And my HighjackThis gave me this:

Hello and welcome to the forum. Nice collection you have here, let's try this in the posted order.

1) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

2) I suggest you use Add Remove program to get rid of: C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe read about it here:
http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
http://www.greatis.com/appdata/u/v/viewmgr.exe.htm
http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/archives/2005/nov4.php#viewpoint

3) ewido scan:
Please download Ewido Security Suite (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) it is a trial version of the program.
Install ewido security suite
Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
On the left hand side of the main screen click update
Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.
Ewido manual updates (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/)

Once the updates are installed do the following:
Click on scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
NOTE: During some scans with ewido it is finding cases of false positives.**
You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
If ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
Click Save report.
Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close ewido security suite.
**(Ewido for example has been flagging parts of AVG Anti-Virus, pcAnywhere and the game "Risk")

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: bitlocker - {01EB5130-FC0C-4d75-B9CE-4801B1B854F5} - C:\WINNT\system32\nsc1A.dll
O2 - BHO: RieMon Class - {70F6A776-579A-4C95-BA88-134253907752} - C:\WINNT\system32\irsmrmxi.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {DDF41A6F-CDE4-D735-8999-D4E61DAD77F1} - C:\WINNT\system32\wmxmq.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: C:\WINNT\system32\owinksai.exe FI002
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DHaxi.exe] C:\WINNT\system32\DHaxi.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [irssyncd] C:\WINNT\system32\irssyncd.exe
O16 - DPF: {8A0DCBDB-6E20-489C-9041-C1E8A0352E75} (Mirar_Dummy_ATS1 Class) - http://awbeta.net-nucleus.com/FIX/WinATS.cab

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

([B]they may be C:\Windows\system32\)

C:\WINNT\system32\DHaxi.exe >>> file

C:\WINNT\system32\irssyncd.exe >>> file

C:\WINNT\system32\owinksai.exe >>> file

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this one with these instuctions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Restart the computer and post the ewido scan results, a new HJT log and any feedback you think I should have.

Thanks...pskelley

ewido anti-malware - Scan report Created on: 10:07:43 AM, 2/19/2006The first scan report has all of the information I needed to see. Please look in the folder called "Reports" here: C:\ewido anti-malware\ and mouse over any text files looking for the first one, post it if there.
Nothing to report here then, I'll just post this information now: ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 9:13:56 AM, on 2/19/2006Your HJT log appears clean of malware at this time:bigthumb: good job of following those instructions. Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

System Restore does not know good from bad, it backs up everything. In case some of the infection got into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, restart your computer and turn it back on.

Post the first ewido scan if you can find it, if not safe surfing...Phil:)
