View Full Version : [LOGS] Problem Removing Servicescmd
LordDoom
2006-02-19, 06:51
Hi, I been having problems removing servicescmd entries from the registry. I have followed all the possible solutions to no avail. It started when I allowed an activex to run on my computer without thinking. All of a sudden I had many pop ups, my norton anti virus was disabled and my windows firewall was gone. I updated my Spybot - Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware SE Personal, and Norton Anti-virus. I have run them both on safe mode and normal mode. They are able to delete all the files except the servicescmd registry entries. I will post the info from the HijackThis in a moment.

I have also done online panda scan as recommended on this site. The funny thing is that none of these are being detected by my Norton Anti Virus that is up to date. I think my Norton and Windows Firewall might have been infected as well. Anyways, here is the Panda Active Scan summary:

I followed the recommendations posted on a sticky thread by tashi on how to remove SpyAxe, SpySheriff and other desktop type hijacks.
I did every thing on safe mode as advised.

My main concern now is that my Norton Anti Virus still is not being able to set to auto protect as it gives me the error "Norton AntiVirus has encountered an internal program error" (4002,516). Should I just delete Norton? Also, I cannot get my windows firewall working again. It says windows cannot display windows firewall settings.
Sorry for the long post but I am trying to fix this for the last 8 hrs now )= So tell me what should I do now, Thanks.
hi
i think you should try a repair install of norton from add remove programs
also
Download and Save Blacklight (http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml) to your desktop:
Double-click blbeta.exe then accept the agreement, click > scan then > next
You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).
Copy and paste this log in your next reply. Don't choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"
