Hi, I have now read the necessary information contained in the "Before You Post" sticky. I got an infection last week, (Scapur.k) and it has done something to my computer that has resulted in it no longer recognising my;
speakers,
external hard drives,
router
So I no longer have sound, access to my external hard drives, (from that pc) or access to the internet. Also, whilst I can transfer a program off a CD onto the computer, I cannot burn anything off that PC onto CD.
This means I have not been able to cut/paste any logs from that pc for this message. I "think" I may have removed the infection, by running Vundofix, and Combofix, (sorry, I was eager), but I am still left with this problem.
I suspect it's probably something "simple", but still beyond my skill-set. If you can solve these issues, then I'll be able to verify with you guys if the pc is actually clean now.
My OS is Windows XP, SP2
