Hiya! I'm getting really upset by this wintems.exe thingy, I've only just been able to get on the net, i don't know what I did... Anyway I had to uninstall Norton Antivirus 2006 but I couldn't reinstall it. I recently installed Zone Alarm Suite among other things (15 day free trial) but something all of a sudden corrupted it, it was working fine for 2-3 days but then one day the tray icon dissapeared and I can't access any of the files and there were errors when uninstalling it but I removed it from Add/Remove list but all installation files are still on C:Program Files and all entries in the registry can not be deleted among other problems and I recently noticed the process wintems.exe and my program Uniblue SpyERaser has detected it and deleted it and also the program Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has detected & removed it it among other things but it keeps coming back. I'm afraid I can't use Hijack This or ComboFix can someone help, if you require more info please let me know, thanks alot! mwwwwah! ;)

Hi

Download Combofix from any of the links below. You must rename it before saving it. Save it to your desktop.

Link 1 (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
Link 2 (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
Link 3 (http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Double click on Combo-Fix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.
Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt along with a HijackThis log so we can continue cleaning the system. If HijackThis won't run rename HijackThis.exe file -> whatever.exe and try again.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
