 It appears I have gone and made a fine mess of things since somehow getting a lovely package of trojans yesterday - I have utilized all the tools at my disposal, AVG, AdAware, and the new version of Spybot - only problem is, one of the bugs is in the system/registry and I haven't been able to pry it loose, AVG's heal function doesn't fix it permanently and it's there making Window's security freak out constantly.

So I used Spybot, knowing it gets at a lot of things other programs miss - it has unfortunately gone and hit a lot of registry changes, and now all of my starting programs, including AVG, are cut off at the knees, their links or redirects broken, and system restore no longer works for any date in the past.

I think this is an issue with spybot (though it could possibly be the one remaining piece of this spyware/virus). Any ideas? Checking the tea timer allow/deny list comes up blank, and while the advanced mode shows all of my programs are screwed up, it can't exactly fix them. I just want to get this darn windows infection alert to go away and return to normal system functionality - have I bollocksed it up beyond repair with spybot?

Hi,

Firstly, I recommend you get your computer cleaned of all the malware that may be on your system. Please post to the malware removal forum where a helper will guide you through the process of removing any malware you have:

- Please read this before you post in the Malware Removal Forum ---> "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

- Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) where a helper will advise you when available
