Hi
My computer has many virus'. I tried to run the Kapersky scan of the computer but when it reaches 61% the computer shuts down. I did notice that it had detected 9 virus and 16 files corrupted. I started with Norton (trial version that came with my computer and still has 2 days left of the trial version) and the running program on my system is Vista. I previously tried to remove the virus' using Avast, Spyware Terminator, Superantispyware? Spybot and Smitfraudfix. Please help me my computer is not even 2 months old and I am going out of my mind.

That said, All advice given by anyone volunteering here, is taken at own risk.
While best efforts are made to assist in removing infections safely, unexpected stuff can happen.
I just want to let you know first off that there are a lot of tools we use to remove viruses and malware and unfortunately some of them do not run on Vista. Your infected with the Smitfraud Trojan so lets do this.
Do this first...Important
Disable the TeaTimer, you can re enable it when were done if you wish
Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
On the left hand side, Click on Tools
Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
Restart your computer.<--You need to do this for it to take effect
Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html) or Here (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe)
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a Hijackthis log.

I have also used spyware doctor. I hope this is not a problem as I used the spyware doctor before reading your assistance. I have completed what you asked me to do. Thanks in advance for all the help you are giving me to clean my computer. Since posting my cry for help I have removed the Norton Anti spyware but can put it back on, what would you suggest?

You need to remove these with HJT but you have not disabled the TeaTimer in Spybot Search and Destroy and it will prevent the fixes from taking so re read my previous post about disabling the TeaTimer.
Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows including this one, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

Download CCleaner from here (http://www.ccleaner.com/) to clean temp files from your computer.
Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
Select your language and click OK, then next.
Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.
Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Issues" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.
*NOTE* CCleaner deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders. If you have anything in a temp folder, back it up or move it to a permanent folder prior to running CCleaner!

Every time I try to disable tea timer it is denied. Is there another way to disable it?
Download Reset Tea Timer (http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat) to your desktop, you need to use Internet Explorer, double click it to run, just takes a sec.

The rest of your log looks fine but to be on the safeside , run this free online scanner from Kaspersky. With Vista, after you download it you may have to right click on the icon and select "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" for it to run.
Run this free online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner)
Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner
You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
Now click on Scan Settings
In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
Standard
Scan Options:
Scan Archives
Scan Mail Bases
Click OK
Now under select a target to scan: Select My Computer
This will program will start and scan your system.
The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
Now click on the Save as Text button:
Save the file to your desktop.
Post the log along with a New HJT Log into your next reply.

Hi
I am having problems running the Kapersky. I follow the instructions that you gave me and the scan runs after about 3hrs the scan says that it is done on the bottom left hand side but the problem is right at the bottome on the left hand side it says page error. It tells me the results but there is noway to save the information except to right it down (which I did 4 viruses & 14 infected files). Is there another way to run this or do you have any solutions? I will run the HJT after I can successfully run the Kapersky.

If you having problems with Kaspersky then leave it be and run the one from Panda
Run Panda's ActiveScan (http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm) and perform a full system scan. This will only run with Internet Explorer
Once you are on the Panda site click the "Scan your PC" button
A new window will open...click the big "Check Now" button
Enter your Country
Enter your State/Province
Enter your e-mail address and click send
Select either Home User or Company
Click the big Scan Now button
If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It will take a couple minutes)
If you are on a slow connection it will take about 15 minuites for the scanner to load.
Click on "Local Disks" to start the scan
Once scan is done, click "see report" then "save report"
Save the log someplace you can find
Reboot
Post the Panda scan results in your next reply

Not having much luck with trying to scan my computer. When I go to Panda and click on the scan button it opens the window but there is nothing there the entire page is blank. Help me I am going nuts.

The only problem with Vista is that a lot of the tools we use to remove this garbage has not been written for Vista yet so we have to remove things manually, why don't you post a new HJT log and lets make sure nothing has come back.

Hello,
Your log looks fine :bigthumb: The files you said Kaspersky found may just be in Temp files and such. Run this cleaner.
Download CCleaner from here (http://www.ccleaner.com/) to clean temp files from your computer.
Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
Select your language and click OK, then next.
Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.
Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Issues" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.
*NOTE* CCleaner deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders. If you have anything in a temp folder, back it up or move it to a permanent folder prior to running CCleaner!
You can try booting to Safemode with Network support and try running Kaspersky that way.
To Enter Safemode
Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly,
this will bring up a menu.
Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Safemode with Network Support
Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard

Things are running really well. I am so pleased that you helped me fix my computer. I have a few questions before I live you only about which antivirus programs I should use. I am currently running Avast (free version), spydoctor (free version), Spybot (free version). Should I stay with these programs or should I also install Norton Antivirus, I bought this with my computer but I don't trust it as I was running the trial version when my computer got infected.
Any suggestions would be great. So should I stay with what I have got or add Norton or any other program.

The programs you have a just fine, only install Norton Anti Virus if you decide to uninstall Avast because the rule of thumb is that you should only have ONE ANTI VIRUS program, more is overkill, they will use a huge amount of system resources and sometimes butt heads with each other.
How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.
