Whenever I start Spybot 1.5.2.20, it asks for a CD in my drive. This message cannot be skipped, I have to put a Cd in my drive. This is very annoying. Where is the option, not to scan cdrom?

thx

Thanks for your reply, though these information did not help. My CDRom-Drive is "H", not "C". And under "Directories" in the "Settings" there is no drive H listed.

Hello,

What is the operating system please.

Did the problem start with the very first scan after installation or...

Also, did you install or remove a program before the event started.

Regards. :)

Windows XP, SP2, with all updates.
Error message started after first installation of this version. But since it had disappeared after some time, I did not worry so much. Now it comes back from time to time. And when it comes, there is no other way to go on than to put a cdrom into the drive.

In the meantime I found out, what triggers the error message.
When I have used a cdrom in my drive BEFORE using spybot, I get the error message, when starting spybot (with cdrom removed).
Of course there is no error message, when I let the cdrom in the drive.
