I have an old Epson Scanner that runs fine on several PCs.
I am running XP Professional, 1MB memory and the chip is 1.86Ghz. It is an older dell 610.
I downloaded and installed spybot.
The machine was just re-imaged and almost pristine.
I am using the default scan. In the middle of the spybot search and destroy scan ... a message pops on the screen that reads something like "No registry data for Epson Smart Scanner" and then the PC shuts off. Just shuts off does not go through the Windows shut down process.
I need to hit the power button to re-start the PC.
I tried 3 times and failed 3 times. There is no product exclusion on the advanced option for the Smart Panel.
Any ideas here?
