Page Fault Error when I start Spybot

I have used Spybot for a number of years with no problems. Suddenly I began to get a Page Fault error as it was loading.

I have no other type of protection on my comuter except Teatimer. W98SE. Latest Firefox.

I believe it started a couple of months after I did a search for updates and downloaded them.

I completely deleted Spybot and download the whole thing.

Ditto today. Same result.

Odd thing is after it begins the install you get a message saying downloading more files. There are two progress bars. On top of them at the end of the bars is a line of giberish symbols.

Any help appreciated.

PS - Teatimer works all the time.

The latest version of Spybot has severe memory and conflict issues with Win 98. Some users have reported that increasing your virtual memory negates the effects but others have reported no differeance.

All I can sugest is that you insall Spybot 1.4 until this problem is sorted (Hopefully with the release of 1.5.3).
