Hi all.

I want to know how to stop these notices popping up all the time.

I'm frankly sick of checking the box and clicking the button.

Thanks for any help.

You can disable TeaTimer, SpyBot S&D -> Advanced -> Tools -> Resident -> uncheck the TeaTimer box.

But do you get these notices when you're installing or updating sth?
Because that's probably the only time they occur.

According to CastleCops (http://www.castlecops.com/tk26190-SSVHelper_Class.html) that Browser Helper Object is legitimate and is associated with Sun Java software:
GUID: {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43}
Filename: ssv.dll
Object Name: SSVHelper Class
Status: L BHO
Description: Related to Sun_Java_software (http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp)

Thanks for your replies, pi and md. I do quite a lot of installing and uninstalling of software, and these notices are just a nuisance because in every case I tick them as 'ok'.

There should be a default 'ok' setting somewhere.

Thanks for your help.

Bean Stalk:

If you do not want to use TeaTimer you can disable it. To disable TeaTimer:
Go into Spybot » Mode » Advanced Mode » Tools » ResidentUncheck the following:
■ Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
