Spybot found crypt32chain in the crypt32.dll. It was set as a startup file. I was not familiar with it so I started searching for what it is and I keep getting it is a backdoor file. (I disabled it from start up)

I would like to know how to get rid of it without having to pay for some program. I have searched the registry and can't find it. There is a crypt32.dll in windows system32 folder but I also am finding that it is supposed to be legit. Which is it, can I delete the crypt32.dll which is where the crypt32chain is located or not? If not, how?

Thanks!

So why am I finding this information in several search results? (RegRun Security Suite, for one)

crypt32chain.dll
crypt32chain.dll is a Trojan/Backdoor.

So is crypt32chain the process being told to run by the crypt32.dll, and the crypt32chain.dll the Trojan? Aha...very clever indeed!

Hey ya'll Just want to thank you for a great product and for such a quick response...I am a humble donor when I can! :bigthumb:
