Words at the bottom when scanning

I have a question that I've been wondering about for a while. When running Spybot S&D, it says at the bottom something like "Running bot-check (number/number: word)" What exactly are those words? Where are they from? For instance, right now mine says Search Centrix

The toolbar at the bottom of the page is showing bot checks, Spybot-S&D searching for bad items, to make sure none of them are on your computer.
