I have been having a new experience over the past few days - that may or may not be since either the last MS update or the installation of Adobe Photoshop Elements 4. It occurs only on Shut Down, ususally late at night - (I have sometimes been able to shut cown without the occurrence). Here is what I get: see attached. Any help out there? I have read that it is a MS problem related to Printers??? Am using an old HP4 that hasn't given this problem before. Also have a newer Epson CX4800; which is seldom on or used.

Thanks:
CJ

hi Canuck Jan,

well if you want we could rule it out as being malware. need a hjt log to start. check this link about halfway down theres info on downloading/using a hjt log. scan with hjt, save the log and post back here if you want to.

From a review of the Epson Stylus CX4800:

The Epson Stylus CX4800 also features a card reader that reads five common media card types.
As you mentioned, there are also Google results, not for that specific printer, but for other Epson models with card readers.

Might want to see if it acts differently when the Epson's on or if there's a card in the reader, if you have one.
