What is this file? I have seen in places where this is listed as malware/spyware, and others where it is not. I have an HP computer and I suspect it's part of a recovery program, but I want clarification since Spybot is listing it as a red registry entry.

Hello,

launcher.exe is an executable belonging to many applications including Webshots- a Windows desktop downloader, Uinterface Mouselaunch- a file and application initiator, and also a hardware interface for Samsung products.

Well, regardless, I know that Spybot is listing it as a red entry, but then doesn't catch anything on a scan.

I went and did properties on launcher.exe and it's made by a company called SoftThinks that makes recovery and backup software called PC Angel. I think it maybe part of a recovery program that comes on HP computers.
