Hi, I though people might be curious to know, I picked up Virtumonde.dll through MSN. I came home to a message from a friend on my PC saying "Please tell me this isn't you.." and a link..... I clicked the link and now I'm screwed. On top of that it seems to have hi-jacked MSN and passed itself on to my contacts. On top of that my friend's computer keeps messaging me with variation on the theme, things like "Hey, is this you?" followed by the link. Conveniently it just messaged me again. I disabled it but DON'T USE THE LINK!! Mods, please delete it if you see fit, but I hope this info helps someone.

Hey, isnt this your pic? Edit: REMOVED

Also, that that is quite an old MSN exploit. ;)

I would suggest you post a Hi-jack log in the Malware Removal forums. In the meantime, while waiting for a response, I would suggest you run a virus and malware scanner to remove the virus, thus this will reduce the amount of work you have to do in the future. Personally, I would suggest, Superantispyware Free, AVG, Spybot-SD, and the Kaspersky Online Scanner. Thanks. >:D

drragostea, my edit this morning:
:p:

I see that rhinox has ran a kaspersky scan, however from how I see it, he has several unnecessary start-ups and a P2P program running.
