Problem with Helpctr.exe

hi, i have a problem with helpctr.exe

actually, most of the times i open Lineage 2 client, after some time of gaming, the game starts to lag and when i exit and open task manager, i find hundreds (maybe) of hlpctr.exe running, so my system goes slooooowwww..........

so i have to reboot from the restart button.

cant manage whats going on, pls help :O

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing that software to which helpctr.exe belongs to?

helpctr.exe, as i know, is a component of windows help center, so i think that i cant uninstall and reinstall it. but there are 2-3 days that i haven't encountered the prob.
i dont know whats going on, but in a little search that i did on the net, i found other ppl who have this problem too, so i dont believe its due to sumthin i did wrong....
any ideas..? :O

PS(i may leave the thread as it is and repost if it happens again, in case u dont have any ideas of what to do)

Yes, that is true, my bad.

However, you can disable service Help and Support via services.msc if that error occurs again.

Please click Start > Run and type in: services.msc
Click OK
In the Services window find: Help and Support
Select/highlight and right click the entry, and choose: Properties
On the General tab, under Service Status click the Stop button
Beside: Startup Type, in the drop menu, select: Disabled
Click Apply, then OK
