Install-Problem with Vista Premium Home

[From a Vista-Greenhorn with:
ICS over XP to a new Vista computer (is working correctly for Firefox and other programs)].

On installing Spybot S&D 1.52 I get a connection error (updallocator.php) and can't get to the end.
Is this a network configuration problem (if so, any idea, why?) or does Spybot S&D need some special conditions for downloading to install? (which ones?)

Windows Defender is now off, "Live OneCare" is on (how to deinstall?), Windows Firewall is active.

See this post for details on a possible fix (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=26918) and as for Onecare try uninstalling it via the Add/Remove Programs menu.
