Hello and welcome to the forum. Let's do this:
1) Turn of Spysweeper to make sure it does not interfere with our fix.
2) This O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE is an optional fix, see this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-5306.html I will schedule the removal, skip it if you wish. You will need to search for the files, it is usually in C:\Windows\ You will also need to enable hidden files and folder: http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
3) ewido scan:
Please download Ewido Security Suite (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) it is a trial version of the program.
Install ewido security suite
Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
On the left hand side of the main screen click update
Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.
Ewido manual updates (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/)
Once the updates are installed do the following:
Click on scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
NOTE: During some scans with ewido it is finding cases of false positives.**
You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
If ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.
Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
Click Save report.
Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close ewido security suite.
**(Ewido for example has been flagging parts of AVG Anti-Virus, pcAnywhere and the game "Risk")
4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:
ALCMTR.EXE >>> file (if you decided to remove it)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.exe >>> file
check to make sure these are gone:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\iimhnljg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dcom_14.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hbmfenaf.dll
C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html
If you don't have a good cleaner, use this one with these instuctions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.
Restart the computer and post the ewido scan results, a new HJT log and your comments. How are you running now?
Thanks...pskelley

I followed all of your directions. The only thing I had a problem with was deleting the files you mentioned. I couldn't find any of them. I was viewing hidded folders & even did a search for them.
While I was running the Ewido scan, my outlook started to send out emails on it's own. Haven't had that happen before.
Here is the original Ewido log & the final HJT log.
Thanks again for your help.

I just ran Spybot again to see if the Command Service was gone.
It is still there along with something called Smitfraud-C.
It seems this Command Service keeps spawing viruses. I've been having non-stop virus attacks since last Wednesday, even thought I have Norton running (& up to date).
Command Service

I just ran this ren-cmdservice recommened on a current command service thread & it seemed to work. I ran spybot & it didn't detect anything, so hopefully this problem is solved.
Thanks.

Is it Jessica? I am waiting for word from a expert friend in Finland to be sure that fix is ok to run. I guess it is...
Here is what I was holding for that fix:
OK Jessica? Let's look at the scans first:
ewido anti-malware - Scan report Created on: 1:42:16 PM, 2/28/2006C:\WINDOWS\system32\barseek.dll -> Proxy.Small.du : Ignored
C:\Documents and Settings\Jessica Byrnes\Local Settings\Temp\A8BBF.tmp/titno.exe -> Adware.MDH : Error during cleaning
Any particular reason why you ignored barseek.dll see the link.
http://www.superadblocker.com/definition/barseek/
The other item needs to go also. We will do this in safe mode.
I don't see spysweeper and this line: O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)
belongs to it, so we will remove it, and I do not know what this is: O23 - Service: Fartfrv - ewido networks - (no file)
my outlook started to send out emails on it's own. Haven't had that happen before.I have not used Outlook in a long time, did you check sent messages to see if you could find out what there were? If you had messages in the send box that had not been sent, Outlook would try to send them every so often.
Please do this, start the computer in safe mode: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html
Run ewido removing everything it locates. Now open HJT and remove these two items:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)
O23 - Service: Fartfrv - ewido networks - (no file)
Restart the computer and post the ewido scan and a new HJT log.
Here was where the tool you used was going to be when I got confirmation it would work on those command items:) I tend to be more cautious than you:bigthumb:
Once you do this clean up, let me know how everything is.
Thanks...Phil

Hi,
I did everything. I forgot to save a ewido log, but the only thing it found was the 'Proxy.small.du' & I deleted that.
Here is the latest HJT Log.

Hi, everything looks good, but I still don't know what this is:
O23 - Service: Fartfrv - ewido networks - (no file) A Google search for the service returns your post. If you want to disable the service:
Disable the Service
Click Start < Run and type services.msc
Scroll down to Fartfrv and right click on it.
Click Properties and under Service Status click Stop, then under Startup Type change it to Disabled.
If you wish to delete the service:
Delete the Service
Open HijackThis and click Config -> Misc Tools -> Delete an NT service.
In the Delete window, type Fartfrv and press OK.
OK any prompts, close HijackThis, and restart your computer.
Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.
System Restore does not know good from bad, it backs up everything. In case some of the infection got into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, restart your computer and turn it back on.
