Greetings All,

Thank you for your speedy reply, even if it was just to tell me that I screwed up:

http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=184265#post184265

36 hours up does that; apologies.

So here is, the, hopefully, right stuff:

Scan process completed.

I have no idea why anything was locked. The ones I checked the security on looked fine, and I was running as administrator. Also, all the AV programing was disabled or off as far as I know. I will glady rerun with new settings if it would help.

The suspicious files have the apearance of Trend Micro files, but talk about removing the Wildcat video driver by brand name. I don't know if AV files should be doing this.

Thanks in advance.

After finally tiring of having both my processors continuously running at 50%, I made a guess and uninstalled Spyware Doctor from PC Tools Software. Lo and behold, almost all the problems went away.

While there had been fewer problems on my other workstation, the removal there cleared up a good deal too.

The replacement was a reinstallation of AdAware/AdWatch Plus that I had previously uninstalled due to the great disappointment with the latest version as compared to those of the previous several years. Even at that, it is vastly superior.

Still looking for a decent blocker and analyzer with a sensible GUI.

Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
