View Full Version : needs help-windows wont update and have virus infection

I am helping a neighbor restore their computer from an extensive virus and spyware infestation. I have run a variety of removal tools including ewido spybot, avg, trends house call, and now running Kaspersky. I have run Hijak this and attached the log file. Vundo, Generic10.HPZ and Purity are the main infections but LOP is still on the machine..
I have backed up their pictures and documents, but really am try to avoid a re installation of the operating system xp pro on a dell dimension because of the time it may take to re-install SP! and Sp2.
Help from you folks is much appreciated
