007 Spy Software

Couple of days ago I ran Spybot and it found 007 Spy Software (Thanks Spybot!). I quarantined the dam thing but am wondering where it came from. Did a search on it and it sounds pretty nasty -It Keystroke logs etc. and also is supposed to be able to hide itself from Spybot & others and is a commercial product.
1).Is there a way to find out how long it's been on my machine?
2). Do I dare "Recover" it and try to run it and see what it has?
3). I'm wondering if it came with the driver CD for my new motherboard.. can I run a scan in the CD?

Worries me that it has passwords & stuff from my tax return!
Anybody know about this thing?
