I've used Sybot for years at home and at work. Just now I finally had to remove Spybot because the function that throws up those little "change to registry" popups was driving me crazy and messing up my machine... I never knew what to answer... as a result (I guess I answered wrong) my Adobe Professional was screwed up twice -- I had to restore my registry to an earlier level to get my Adobe to open at all. Best guess is that Spybot was tangling with some auto update action that Adobe was running... I need my Adobe, so bye bye baby bye bye thanks for all the protection. I guess you all got too sophisticated for me. Leslie

GrubStreet (Leslie):

You could have just disabled the TeaTimer fuction as follows:
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
Uncheck the following:Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
