The following website is misdirecting people for unknown reasons (since I'm not willing to download the "programs" listed. This site appears

http://spybot.destroy-spyware.net/index.html is a misdirect to another, possibly dangerous site appears at the top of Ask.com search for your site, and I'm planning on making them aware of it as well.

On the site, it tries to convince the person to download a different program they claim as NOADWARE, but that if you still want to download Spybot, they give the following link:

http://www.spybot.com/en/index.html

I really like Spybot a lot and would rather your name and rep not be messed up by someone scamming you guys.

Sincerely,
Stacey

PS: my browser had scripts blocked for that site, so I'm not sure what danger you'd run into visiting either of those links. Please use caution. Now I'm off to Ask.com

Hello Drakaran,

Thank you for informing us about spybot.destroy-spyware.net.

Noadware is detected by Spybot-S&D: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/updatehistory/2007-12-19.html

Please see this article by Ben Edelman:
Critiquing C-NetMedia’s Anti-Spyware Offerings and Advertising Practices (http://www.benedelman.org/news/021408-1.html)

However, http://www.spybot.com/en/index.html is our home page and perfectly safe.

Best regards. :)

thanks for responding. The latest gimmick I see is the wolf in sheep's clothing trick, and want to help make sure people aren't fooled by this practice.
