Hello,

That is not much information to go on. ;) Did you scan with Spybot-S&D?

Cheers.

Lilly,

If you are really serious about wanting some help, please take the time to provide some information about your computer, what type, speed, memory, what operating system, what service packs, what updates. Do you have spybot installed, if so what version, when was it last updated. Do you have an antivirus program, what brand, what version, when was it last updated. Do you have a firewall, if so what brand, what version?

Was there anything significant about when the problem started, was it after you upgraded or installed any particlar program. The more information you provide the more likely it is you will some meaningful help.

Well, check whether you have Spybot-SD via. Add/Remove Programs Window via Control Panel. You may download Spybot-SD from Safernetworking's servers.

lilly you still have not said what the problems are. Infection, or software/hardware?

Cheers.

I'll be assuming it could be a possible infection. tashi's 15 Ways to Get Infected Without Trying mentioned one. Lily elaborate on your situation and please answer Greyfox's questions so we could get a better understanding of your situation.

Lilly,

You still basically haven't answered the questions I raised in my earlier post, and so I really have no idea as to what you have or don't have.

If, and I emphasise IF, Spybot found specific malware problems that it didn't resolve (your 117 items for all I know could simply be tracking entries), or your antivirus software found specific virus infections which it couldn't remove, then you would be best to request assistance in the Spybot Malware removal Forum.

Before doing so however please read through "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) at http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

You will need to carryout all of the steps outlined there, and provide all of the information listed.

If there has been no definite indication that your PC is infected, and if you cannot provide a lot more specific information, then you should perhaps consider physically taking your PC to a professional to enable a proper diagnosis to be made.

I'm sorry, I don't know what else I can suggest.

From Lily's described symptons, she is well likely to be infected by malware. As Greyfox suggested, the entries may be tracking cookies. But on the hand it may not. A whole handful of cookies will not screw an IE session and make the OS restarting without reason.

Perhaps if lily can give some names in the detection problems that would surely help. At the moment, I would agree with Greyfox to take a look at the Malware Forums, as... tashi said some malware cannot be removed by ordinary tools.
