You have some nasty stuff on this computer, I suggest you keep it offline as much as possible until it is clean. Some of this junk I have not worked before, but I will give it a try, if you will follow the directions. Seems this one: C:\Program Files\outlook\outlook.exe can be either this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-6494.html or this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-12637.html My concern is rather to remove the folder or just the file? Do you have Outlook installed on the computer? If not we will remove the folder. I do not want to cause you problems with a valid program and you are going to need to work with me on this one. If you have any doubts as you proceed, use these free online scans to validate each item one way or another.

Check this one and let me know if it is a valid file:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wmpcd.exe If it is pass over it in the instructions. Here are the scans:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

Read through the entire instructions first. There are files you must search for before you can delete them. Make sure you enable hidden files amd folders correctly or you will never see the bad files.

1) Download, update, configure and run these two programs: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php
The newest version of Ad-aware is 1.06 and Spybot 1.04. Even if you have these programs, use the link to get the newest version, update and configure them as in the link. Run Spybot first, reboot then run Ad-aware. Both programs back up what they remove so delete anything the programs say should be removed.

2) ewido scan:
Please download Ewido Security Suite (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) it is a trial version of the program.
Install ewido security suite
Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
On the left hand side of the main screen click update
Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.
Ewido manual updates (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/)

Once the updates are installed do the following:
Click on scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
NOTE: During some scans with ewido it is finding cases of false positives.**
You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
If ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
Click Save report.
Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close ewido security suite.
**(Ewido for example has been flagging parts of AVG Anti-Virus, pcAnywhere and the game "Risk")

3) I am not familiar with this program: Trend Micro Anti-Spyware and it may block our fix, I suggest you turn it off until you are done.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [v3tg3nR] dgrw400.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [outlook] C:\Program Files\outlook\outlook.exe /auto
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winlog] winlog.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [win32067138169127] C:\WINDOWS\win32067138169127.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [winlog] winlog.exe
(next one only if the scans say it is bad)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [wmpcd] C:\WINDOWS\System32\wmpcd.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [e02mRhd2U] dbnrrenu.exe
O20 - Winlogon Notify: App Paths - C:\WINDOWS\system32\k862lijo18oc.dll (file missing)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

dgrw400.exe >>> file (search for location)

dbnrrenu.exe >>> file (search for location)

C:\Program Files\outlook\outlook.exe >>> may be folder, at least the file must go. Look in the folder, you will know if it is valid, if not use the scans.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlog.exe >>> file

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wmpcd.exe >>> file (only if you have found it to be bad)

C:\WINDOWS\win32067138169127.exe >>> file

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this one with these instuctions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Restart the computer and post the ewido scan results, a new HJT log and and feedback you think will help.

Thanks...Phil

We have issues with the ewido scan, you chose to ignore many bad items in the scan. You will need to run the scan again, this time in safe mode because there were some errors in cleaning that ewido may remove in safe mode.

I also wish to know what happened here:

Check this one and let me know if it is a valid file:
I received no information about the file I asked you to check??

This item: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE is optional but considered spyware, see this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-180.html You can remove it in safe mode if you wish. You will need to locate it first with search so you will know where it is. It is usually in C:\Windows\ (watch the spelling)

Follow these directions, restart the computer in safe mode: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html
Open ewido and choose complete system scan and remove everything it locates. Save that scan result and post it for me. I will not need another HJT log unless I ask for it.

while still in safe mode navigate to the location of ALCXMNTR.EXE and delete the file only if you decided to do so. Restart the computer to normal mode and post the ewido scan results and you comments.

Thanks

That file was not valid. Also is it necessary to run ewido again?

That file was not valid. Also is it necessary to run ewido again?Yes it is and it is necessary that you run it is safe mode. The option would be to locate each of the items below and delete it manually.
The RealTek item I could care less, that is your decision. This is what you left on the computer with the first ewido scan:

Ok and thanks for that information. ewido could not clear all of the registry entries left by the removal of PSGuard, could you tell me if you are experiencing any issues now? Those leftovers are probably not a problem and may require a registry edit to remove them.

Thanks...Phil

OK and thanks for that information, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957
http://russelltexas.com/malware/allclear.htm
http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=14
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topict2520.html
http://cybercoyote.org/security/not-admin.shtml

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know good from bad, it backs up everything. In case some of the infection got into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, restart your computer and turn it back on.
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001111912274039?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam

If those couple of dead registry entries cause you any more issues, PM me here:
http://forums.spybot.info/private.php?do=newpm&u=233 and I'll send you a good free registry cleaner with instuctions for using it.

tashi will be along to close you up in a day or so:bigthumb:

Thanks...pskelley
