Sorry Zenobia, I don't like to butt in when someone else is already helping with a query, but I have had, and can consistantly reproduce a shut down problem very similar if not the same as this, so in case GoCards problem is the same, the following might help.
GoCards,
Do you by any chance have MS Office 2000 installed?
With Spybot 1.5.2.20 and XP-Home (1 PC with with SP2 and another with SP3) I found that if I tried to "Fix" the usage track entry ..
MS Office 9.0
Recently used files "c:\Documents & Settings\xxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent"
Spybot Program would immediately shut down.
My work around was to simply highlight the c:\Documents & Settings\xxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent" line (not the MS Office 9.0 line) and select "exclude this detection from further searches".
This puts an entry in the Settings > Ignor single entries (which allows you to remove it at some stage in the future should you want to do this).
I don't know whether the same problem occurs with later versions of MS Office, and your problem may be different, so after saying I hope this helps, I will butt out again.
