Im still running AVG Free anti-virus 7.5 and a pop up informed me that AVG 7.5 will no longer be supported by the end of the month. I read that spyware blaster had conflicting problems with AVG so its got be worried about spybot. Are there any known problems so far?

Thanks

As-Far-As-I-know Spybot 1.5.2 has got issues with AVG 8.0

I'm a ex-AVG user. I moved to avast! due to AVG 8.0 Free's "avgrsx.exe" heavy memory usage. From how I see it, Spybot-SD 1.5.2.20 has not problems with AVG. However... AVG will detect false positives during a full scan.

It occurs that if you should move the "warnings" from AVG, both SpywareBlaster and Spybot-SD will have entries unimmunized.

Also. When I was using AVG 8.0 a around a a month ago, I experienced problems with TeaTimer. TeaTimer just would not close during shutdown. I planned to move back to AVG 7.5, but a sympathetic 129260 suggested me to use avast!.

If AVG v8 has not changed since I tried it, then I would call removing Spybot's (and at least one other program's) immunisation entries and also noticeably slowing down Spybot scans, reasonably significant issues, and enough for me as a AVG 7.5 user to move on to another product when AVG announced that updates for AVG 7.5 would cease in the very near future.

I haven't seen any impact on Spybot scans when AVG 8.0 was installed. The installed AV is all dependent on the user's decision.

Alternatives can be avast! or AntiVir Avira. I personally use avast! :cowboy:
