Error Message

Good Day:
Although an old user of Spybot S&D, I have only today registered with the Forums.
After clicking 'Search for Updates' as usual, I got Application Error msg.
< "Exception E Invalid Cast in module SDUPDATE.ExE at 00078FF3. Invalid Class typecast >
Apologies if I chose the wrong Forum. If needed please transfer me.
Would appreciate knowing what this error is and what to d o about it.

You can also download the updates manually:

Here is the direct download link (http://www.spybotupdates.com/updates/files/spybotsd_includes.exe).
Just download and run that file - it is self-installing.

Hello,

We recommend a fresh install of Spybot - Search & Destroy.

Please uninstall Spybot - Search & Destroy according to the following link:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/howto/uninstall.html
Then make a fresh install of Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2.
You will find links to several download locations on our website:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html

You will also have to update your new version using the integrated updater.
This should solve the problem.
