http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

For more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, when you reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. Don't select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Hey,
i dunno if this is bad but being proactive (i hope), i already ran those tests and for the OTMoveIt2, atf cleaner, and combofix. i ran what kaspersky found as bad (trojan/adware), in OTMoveIt which is what u just said to run above :) so i got that right.

i ran it again just to show that it found them:

Explorer killed successfully
File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\hstmtgio.dll not found.
File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\iaeasgrf.dll not found.
File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\rotvaqvj.dll not found.

OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer - Version 1.0.4.2 log created on 05282008_164648

the atf cleaner and cleared out 150mb of crud.

Aaaand, lol, i downloaded the combo fix program and when i go to create the recovery console (drag the exe onto the combofix.exe icon) i get a rundll32.exe message followed by a cmd.exe one, then another rundll32.exe and then one more cmd.exe error. all of them to do with 0xc0000005 initialization.

i stopped here and decided to start a new thread.

thanks for the help btw! :D:

Ok try this

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/Deckard/dss.exe) and save it to your Desktop.
Close all other windows before proceeding.
Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
If your anti-virus or firewall complains, please allow this script to run as it is not malicious.
When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

AVG (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5) makes an excellent free antivirus client, as do AntiVir (http://www.free-av.com) or avast! (http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html).

btw, the reason there is no anti-virus software on this comp is coz my friend downloaded anti-virus software that she though was ok but not. eg spywareguard 2006. it was easy to uninstall these however.

Please install one of the anti-virus programs I recommended

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) or Here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html)

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Also post a new DSS log
