Not sure if you can help with this..
Over the last few days I have been installing and uninstalling several apps:
Snoopfree, Quicktime for update and cleaned my registry with CCleaner and JV16
Today, normal bootup but trying to get to progs via START button results in freeze of that window and dropdown list.
I can access apps via desktop icons and taskbar icons but windows will appear behind the frozen ones.
The reason I'm here is that SpyBot seems to be the only app which will not launch from either the teatimer icon on the task bar or via .exe in Prgram files.
I have reinstalled with no success.
I suspect I have made some registry voodoo
Unfortunately I have not got a sys restore point or a good backup of the recent changes as I used both CCleaner and Reg clean Doh. IDIOT.
I got complacent.
AS an extra when I try to install Quicktime the install freezes.
Have run chkdsk and sfc with disc and no change.
Any help?
I really do not want to do a full reinstall.
I have a registry backup with ERUNT from 25-2-06 (do that every 2 weeks)
Could that help?
Thanks
