Hello Forum,
Remark: I posted this question two weeks ago in the german Forum, got no reply on my last post till now, so I try here.

Hope I am right and my english is not too stumble.

The "problem" in short:

not knowing that something like the Rootalizer exists, I installed a "Anti Rootkit"- Software ("AVG Anti-Rootkit Free", Version: 1.1.0.42. AVT Technologies) I got from the CD from the german journal "com!" issue 5/2008.

Installation performes OK, but I missed the usual reaction (request for permission) I normally get from Spybot.

Is it OK that way, or did I set a fox to keep the geese? (Thanx to LEO!!)

Greetings Geromino

Geromino:

Not all software installations change registry entries that TeaTimer monitors. Many software installations add startup entries which would trigger TeaTimer to issue a registry change dialog. However, it is unlikely that an on demand rootkit scanner would have a startup entry. So it is possible for some software installations not to trigger TeaTimer.
