Ok, I seem to have a string of problems.

1) When I try to logon, I get a message saying userinit failed to initialise
2) I have to manually start explorer.exe as a process
3) It then says rundll.exe failed to initialise
4) If I run cmd.exe, it also says it failed to initialise
5) Autoupdate becomes disabled
6) No control panel functions work

ESET has recently quarantined quite a few files. These are:

Hello,

will donate to site if you guys solve my problem first before other sites.

This isn't an auction. Have you posted to other sites yet, if so helpers here will need to know.

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Posters who start topics at multiple sites for their PC problem waste valuable volunteer resources, so please don't. Our volunteer helpers assist people at several sites. A member's user name may be different, the problem will not be. If you have posted elsewhere, please inform us and provide link/s to the thread/s.

sorry, i'll donate to spybot anyway :) I have asked on some other sites, but have not received assistance yet.

I'm also running malwarebyte's anti-malware program now (so far 8 objects infected).

I have attempted to fix the problems via spybot, but at the end of fixing it says that it's attempting to do something to the registry. I can allow/deny. Is this spybot attempting to do this, or some other script?

Hi

Looks like you didn't quarantine those MBAM findings. Please run it again and this time quarantine found items.

After that do following:

1. Download combofix from any of these links and save it to Desktop:
Link 1 (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
Link 2 (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
Link 3 (http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe)

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you (C:\ComboFix.txt). Post that log, a fresh hjt log and new MBAM log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.

If you have problems with Combofix usage, see here (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix)
