Had to restore registry after installing 1.5.?

When the first version of 1.5 came out, I updated 1.4 when prompted by the opening screen of SBSD. After installation, my computer was so altered (do not now know the specifics) that I finally had to restore the previous registry back-up (using my registry cleaner. I uninstalled the program and went back to using 1.4. Now I am getting the same include log errors that others have talked about, but I'm scared to death to download 1.5 again. Any ideas about why my computer went bonkers after the installation? I'm using XP.

If you don't know the specifics about what occurred or at least describe the symptoms of the problem you encountered, then it would only be pure speculation for anyone to attempt to venture a guess as to what might have occurred.
