Please Help Me!

Hi, my names Mike I'm new to this forum, I know very little aout computers, however i have been searching non-stop for a solution to my problem and it has led me here. My problem is my automatic updates wil not start up, and I am gettingnon-stp pop-ups, I have tried many things like going to the cmd.exe and copying and sting all the commands to re-do window update and still no luck, I am still getting that dreaded "error 1058" I did read something about a "Vundo" virus going around and the symptoms sound pretty close to what I have going on. I will try to go ito services and manually start it and it ll pop up the error code and just stop. I did downlod some "hijack this" tool which I'm not sure what it does but I was told to post my log here, so here it is. any help would be so greatly apreciated.

I downloded a too from symantec to remove the vundo virus, and still nothing, it said the vundo virus has been removed however auto updates still will not start up and the pop-ups still wont stop, I have already received 2 since I started typing this. I am still at a loss this has been going on for 2 days now and i'm getting very close to reformating again...howevr I'm not looking forward to it. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Ok, after a few more hours browsing forums and finding nothing, I called microsoft and spent an hour on the phone with them and found out how to fix it. It ended up being that "vundo" virus afterall and after they were denied remote access to my comp due to that virus they finally gave me a url and a program to download to fix it. The Url is http://pcsafety.us/ and the program I was told to download is "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware". I ran that program and it found that "Vundo" virus and removed it, after the scan finished, my computer was restarted and Automatic updates started right up. Anyone having similar problems, it's worth checking out.

Yes, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a good program but since Vundo generates these random files and CLSIDs MBAM may not be able to clean everything. It's recommended to post the hjt log for post-check :)
