View Full Version : Virtumonde I think?! Please help
Hi there,
I posted this in another section of the forum and was directed here for help!
I have the latest version of Spybot search and destroy and am running Norton 360 for my antivirus.
I believe that a couple of weeks ago I was infected with the Virtumonde virus, but I thought I had got rid of it. My laptop is now running quickly again and there are no signs of the virus (except for something that I will explain in a sec.) However I have ran Spybot since and it still seems to find it. When I click "fix selected problem", it says it removes the infection, but then when scanning again, just finds it again...I seem to be going in circles...!
The Spybot report says this:
Virtumonde: [SBI $42352499] User settings (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-10223769-3664160080-2574443034-1000\Software\Microsoft\rdfa
Also, since the infection, I get a Run DLL error each time I start my laptop. It says this:
Run DLL
Error loading
C:\users\liam\appdata\local\temp\jkkKawuV.dll
The specified module could not be found
This only seems to be since I was infected, it never came up before.
I have also ran a Kaserspy scan and can provide my log for that.
Here is my HijackThis log report:
