blocked task manager

Hi, Some malware on my PC has blocked my task manager. "Disabled by the administrator" it says, or something like it.

The malware makes it self known by time after time (every 20 seconds or so) warning me about viruses and spy-ware problems. and theres a flashing red circle with a white X in my taskbar.

I have no idea what do with this.
I run Zone Alarm but obviously it doesn't work on this one.

So I need to take away the malware and get my task manager back.

Please help!

Now the malware has also changed the seconds on my computer clock to "VIRUS ALERT!"

In order for one of our volunteer helpers to advise you, please follow the procedure in this sticky to produce a HJT log.

Start a new topic providing the log/s requested, then I will close this one as helpers look for threads without a response.
