Spybot will not display

I go to open Spybot program and it goes straight to the box that says "loading Spybot" like it normally has, but once the box closes nothing else happens. I still have it showing on my tool bar, other than that it won't show up. I have had the program a few months with no problems. I am running the 1.5 version. Any suggestions?

When was the last time you successfully opened Spybot? What is your OS?

The latest version of Spybot-SD is 1.5.2.20.

I successfully opened and ran it two weeks ago. I am running Windows XP SP2.

When you attempted to run Spybot... was it visible in the TaskManager?

Yes, and the status was running.

Tell you what... try uninstalling your current version via ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS window from the Control Panel.

At that point, Spybot shouldn't be on your computer. Execute the installer. Let it install, create the registry backup, update, and immunize.

Uninstalled and then reinstalled.
I have it opened right now and the same thing is happening. It shows on my toolbar, but when I click on it to maximize I get nothing. It is also on my Task Manager as running.
