AdwareSpy is known as a rogue anti-spyware (1) (http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm)(2) (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=45615).
AdwareSpy is also known as AdDriller, 2004 Adware/Spyware Remover & Blocker, ADS Adware Remover, AdWare SpyWare Blocker & Removal, AdwareX Eliminator, Ad-Where 2005, ETD Security Scanner, Privacy Tools 2004, SpyBeware, Spy-Kill, & The Web Shield.
When you scan your system with that tool, among the false positive detections, it detects a Spybot SD as a spyware. It suggests of course to "fix" that "problem".
It finds a registry entry using a link to that url: http://spybot.eon.net.au/en/index.html.
(actually, that link does not exist in the registry).
I visited that page, and it is exactly the same page as the one from http://www.safer-networking.org but I was wondering if s.o. know if it's only a DNS redirector or a fake site. Otherwise what would be the way to verify that?
Thanks,
