Just updated the definitions on June 14, 2008 and after running the
immunization, it says there are 192 still unprotected. This update was
done from within the program itself.

Please let us know when the defs file is fixed.

Thanks

I think you have made an incorrect assumption that there is a problem the definition files.

I had no problem immunizing after the 2008-06-11 updates and no one else seems to have reported a problem.

What version of Spybot - Search & Destroy are you running (Spybot » Help » About)?

What Windows OS are you running?

If you are running Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2.20 what category (profile) is not being immunized fully?

Have you attempted to do an Immunize "Undo" followed by an "Immunize"?

The OS is XP Home SP2
Spybot is at the version you mentioned.
It seems to be the Cookies that are not being immunized.
Seems odd, given that in all prior immunizations the total
unprotected number has always been zero. So, in my view,
something has changed (and this is the same on 2 computers)

I originally asked:

Can you be more specific?

... what category (profile) is not being immunized fully? ...
i.e:
Firefox
Default (Cookies)
Internet Explorer (32 Bit)
\software (Cookies)
Internet Explorer (32/64 Bit)
\.Default (Cookies)
\xxxxx (Cookies)

Seemingly unanswered question:

Have you attempted to do an Immunize "Undo" followed by an "Immunize"?

Seems to be cookies from Opera .. using latest version of Opera 9.5
And I have my browsers set to clear all history on exit ... So I don't
know why these cookies are not clearing .. could be a bug in the new
version of Opera or in Spybot .. And yes, I did try Undo & Reimmunize
... same results 192 unprotected

Apparently there was a change in the format of cookies in Opera 9.5 beta and Spybot 1.5.2.20 can not immunize cookies in the version.

So does that mean Spybot will fix the program so it works
ok with Opera 9.5 ?? And what about how it will work with
a Major new release of Firefox 3 due on June 17 (to be an
official release) ? ? Personally for me, I went back to Opera
9.27 until they fix this trash V9.50 ... And as to Firefox, I won't
take V3 for at least 6 Months .. time to iron out the bugs & get
the addons compatible.

According to Rapid Dr3am (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?find=lastposter&t=29511) in the following thread, the new Spybot-S&D 1.6, beta 1 (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=29109) works with Opera beta 9.5.

That is good to know. I will, however, wait until
both Spybot 1.6 is a final in a few weeks and also
until those programmers at Opera iron out some
bugs in V9.5 before reinstalling it. Glad to know I
was not just imagining a problem that no one knew about.
