I downloaded SB-S&D today from the safer networking site after my son told me it would help my computer problems. I already have Spy Sweeper for MSN and SUPER Antispyware per previous recommendations. Spy Sweeper did not detect 60 problems (25 trojans plus adware) that SUPER A did. But when I quarantined and removed them with SUPER A, then windows would not initialize unless I went back to a time when it was working properly, which resulted in a constant finding of trojans and adware. Once I downloaded and installed Spybot, I started getting messagee after message that spyware was being blocked by Spy Sweeper. I ran a scan immediately using Spybot, and continued to get 100s of blocking messages. I am getting them right now, over and over again. During the scan I finally locked down the internet via Zone Alarm. Why is all of this happening? Did all this come from your website or what? I fixed all the problems listed on the Spybot scan but I am still under attack. I don't know what would be happening if Spy Sweeper wasn't blocking all these attempts to access. I am not real good at all this stuff, so please help me with this. Also, I downloaded Avast yesterday and did some quarantines but hesitate to delete the files as some are system related. HELP! Also, what is a tag?

Hi,there. :)
I'm not real familiar with Webroot Spy Sweeper or how it's Real-Time Threat Protection works, but perhaps it's Real-Time Threat Protection is blocking changes made by Spybot.Or,it could be a coincidence that things started acting up after downloading Spybot S&D.
All this should not be caused by the Spybot (http://www.spybot.info/en/home/index.html) website,it is trustworhy.

At any rate,it sounds as though you are having quite a few problems. You might want to ask for help in malware removal.

The instructions to follow are here, please read through and follow them as they help you get the required logfile(s) to post:

There has been conflicting issues in the past with Webroot's SpySweeper and SaferNetworking's Spybot-SD. Both of their immunization features are the same. If you have any problems immunizing in Spybot, I can give you some advice.

It is not a matter of how many detected entries that determines the applications overall performance and effectiveness. There are also many other factors.

If you're looking for a TAG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_(metadata)
To put it short, it's just a group of words that relevant to the assigned peice of information or image.

What is your OS? Is Spybot and SpySweeper up-to-date? What about SAS?
