Is there some way we can open our Spybot and see:

#1- When last scan was done?
#2- When last update was done?

Thank you.

#1- Tools->View Report->View Previous Report. Checks filenames are date based, as is also the case for Fix files, so date of last scan can easily be seen.

#2- Info and licence page - latest detection update date is shown.

Thank you. I have set to Default Mode. When I try to change to Advanced Mode, it states:
"The advanced mode of Spybot offers more options than the default mode, but those also include some that CAN DO HARM TO YOUR SYSTEM if you are not sure of what you are doing."
We are not at all sure of what we are doing. We are computer novices!

tiger2:

The warning is just a warning and as long as you are just desplaying things and not changing them there is no problem.

There are alternatives for both of the things you are interested in without going into "Advanced mode":
By default here are two Checks.yymmdd-hhmm logs produced during a scan. The second Checks.yymmdd-hhmm has the details of what the scan found. A Fixes.yymmdd-hhmm log is produced if you fix or attempt to fix something. The yymmdd-hhmm is the date-time the log was produced.

The Checks.yymmdd-hhmm and Fixes.yymmdd-hhmm files are stored in the following folders:
Windows 95 or 98:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows ME:
C:\Windows\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows NT, 2000 or XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs

Go into Spybot » Help » About to show the "Latest detection update". Note: The date is the date of the detection files not the actual date when the update was done.
