I guess everyone's got this bug... I already probably messed up my system to much on my own trying to fix it with HJT and all those other crazy programs. However, virtumonde does not seem to affect Seamonkey, so I can still access search engines and what not. That seems to be the main problem, with Firefox and IE I cannot use google and other sites that I use often. plz help soon, thx.

hi starboardman,

some tools are not supported in vista. you can do this:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt

run malwarebytes followed by another scan with hjt. post both logs.
