Adware Trouble!

Hey, whenever I try to open things in Windows Explorer that aren't directly from the desktop, a message pops up that says:
"Attention, ******! Some dangerous trojan horses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted. This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\WINDOWS. Download protection software now!
Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)"

When I click cancel, it brings me to this URL: http://free-viruscan.com/id/4912933/4/1/. It is titled IE Antivirus.

Search:
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Hey,

I ended up just system restoring a little while ago. After so many hours of trying to figure out what files/processes were not supposed to be running and where the malware was located and how to remove it, I felt a little silly when I remembered that system restore exists lol. Luckily it's not like Vundo/Virtumonde where it deletes all the previous restore points before infection...
