I ran virus scans a night ago, and was all clean. I came home from work today and my sister told me my computer started acting funny so she got off. My mom said she might have clicked on something bad. I sit down, and I can't do anything without an ad every 20 seconds to download spyware removal. My background has been changed to a blue ad. Ad Aware gets shut down. I tried deleting files myself, and files called mrofinu72 and iftuyszu will not go away. I tried installing and running Spybot S&D, but it tells me I can't run it until I update it. I try updating, and it says that it has all updates. I hope someone here can help me out.

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is a very infected computer.
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\iftuyszv.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntos.exe,
http://www.greatis.com/appdata/d/n/ntos.exe.htm

Ntos.exe is Infostealer.Banker.C.
Infostealer.Banker.C is a Trojan horse that may steal sensitive information from the compromised computer.
A Backdoor is a software program that gives an attacker unauthorized access to a machine and the means for remotely controlling the machine without the user's knowledge. A Backdoor compromises system integrity by making changes to the system that allow it to by used by the attacker for malicious purposes unknown to the user.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.
This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files
I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.
Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

That is just one item, your computer has many.
Let us know what you have decided to do in your next post.

Thanks

Fudge muffins.

I have changed passwords from a different computer, disconnected my computer from the internet, and contacted my bank.

I am willing to reformat my computer if that is the best way to proceed. I am in possession of a Restore DVD from the computer manufacturer, but I can't seem to find my Microsoft Office install CD.

I am also wondering if it would be ok to pull files from the computer before reformatting. I have papers, music, and photos I would like to save. I have not connected my iPod to my computer since it was infected; would using it as an external hard drive to store some files during reformat be a bad idea?

If you are asking me what would I do? I would have to reformat because of all the online activities including online banking and bill paying. Now what will you do, I fear that is a decision you have to make. I can provide more detailed information:
http://spyware-free.us/tutorials/reformat/
http://www.cyberwalker.net/faqs/how-tos/reinstall-faq.html

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=what+files+are+safe+during+a+reformat&btnG=Search

There is lots of information if you google your questions.

see if that answers your questions.
