View Full Version : Possible vundo infection in CMDOW.EXE log included

Hey everyone. Long time user and lover of spybot SD. I think I might be infected with a virus or some sort of malware. I was using avast antivirus for some time and I recently switched to AVG 8.0 free edition just yesterday. After the first scan, it found several bits of malware. Including one in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\CMDOW.EXE It said there is a potentially harmful program HideExec.BN. AVG moved the file to the virus vault. After the quarantine and after rebooting there was nothing else detected. I also used Spybot SD which didn't find anything. Today however AVG detected the same file again which was put into the virus vault. Inclosed is a hijackthis log.

Please let me know if there is anything wrong here. I am really in a paranoid state of mind right now. I appreciate any and all who help.

yes your hjt log looks ok as far as malware goes, but it shouldnt be relied on by itself for presence of malware. is AVG still flagging this:
