Hi,

Welcome to the Safer Networking. My name is muuli. I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. HijackThis logs can take a while to research. Please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:

1. If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
2. Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic. Please stay at one forum for help.
3. Please continue reading posts until I give the All Clear. It is important to note this, as a clean looking HijackThis is not always a sign your system is clean.

Note: I am still in training at Malware Removal, however I will be working under the direct supervision of one of our Malware Experts. Any recommendations will first be approved before being given to you. Because of this, there may be a short delay in getting our responses to you, however be assured that we will be working diligently on your problem.

Hi,

Have you set that about:blank to your start page?

Have you set IE to use this proxy?
169.254.55.230:8080

Move HijackThis to own folder.
Right-click your desktop.
Choose from the pull-down menu; New -> Folder.
Give the name like HijackThis.
Right-click HijackThis.exe and select Cut.
Open HijackThis folder.
Right-click on that folder and select Paste.

Produce uninstall list:
Open HijackThis.
Click on the Open the Misc Tools section button.
Look under System tools.
Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
Click on the Save list... button.
It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
Notepad will open. Please post this log in your next reply.

If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Click Yes to allow Combofix to continue scanning for malware.

When done, a log will be produced. Please post that log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.

Do not mouse click on Combofix while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

If you already have Smitfraudfix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.

Please download SmitFraudFix.exe (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe) by S!Ri and save it to the desktop.

If you can't download it, please download it from these alternative sites:

From Geekstogo (http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.exe)
From Security Cadets (http://downloads.securitycadets.com/SmitfraudFix.exe)
From Zebulon (http://telechargement.zebulon.fr/259-smitfraudfix.html)

Double click on SmitfraudFix.exe.
Press 1 then hit the Enter key.
It will create a report named rapport.txt, usually at C drive.
Please post back this log in your next reply.

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. Read more here (http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/processutil/processutil.htm)

Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...
Link 1 (http://www.spywareedge.net/nolop/NoLop.exe)
Link 2 (http://www.spywaretimes.com/Tools/startdown/21/)
Link 3 (http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item16)

First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
Double click NoLop.exe to run it

Carefully type or copy and paste this series of characters into the lower text area labelled Insert CLSID Here. Include the {}:

{91209230-E2A0-CD3F-335B-C3136996E1F8}
Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
<<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log
If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx (http://www.boletrice.com/downloads/mscomctl.ocx) to your system32 folder then rerun the program.

Please post a fresh HijackThis log, Smitfraudfix log, Nolop log , uninstall list and Combofix log.
