View Full Version : I thought that Hellz Little Spy had been addressed?

I thought I read that the keylogger "Hellz Little Spy" had been addressed in the June 25, 2008 update for SpyBot S & D. Perhaps I misread something? At any rate, I'd REALLY appreciate some help - this has caused me serious problems. Before I do another "repair" install, I really need to know how to go about getting rid of this. I've posted a link to another site, here's the link to the link.

jimmie123:

You have posted twice in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum:

I'm sorry that neither of those posts were answered. However, that may have been because the instruction for posting in that forum ["BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)] were not followed.

If you were running Spybot 1.3 (which was replaced over three (3) years ago), there appears to be false positives associated with the detections associated with both "coolwwwsearch.hjg" and "HellzLittleSpy" seemingly because of mixing new anti-spyware definitions with old software.
